• Shorewomen Best Two Free State Schools in Tri-Match

    The Washington College volleyball team won two matches against fellow Maryland colleges on Saturday on Ed Cole Court.  In the first match of the day, Washington swept host St. Mary’s (Md.), 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 28-26), for its win over St. Mary’s in 15 years before topping Hood, 3-1 (25-9, 25-14, 18-25, 25-18) in the second contest.

    The Washington College Athletic department has partnered with the Kent Goes Purple initiative. The College's men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey, and volleyball teams will be wearing special Kent Goes Purple warm-up shirts at home games for the rest of the month of September.

  • Shorewomen Fall in Pair of Matches Against ODAC Schools at Gallaudet

    The Washington College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) teams at the Gallaudet Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Field House. Junior outside hitter Abby Smith was named to the all-tournament team.

    The Washington College volleyball team hit .500 as a squad and got a career-topping eight service aces from junior defensive specialist Abby Hilty on its way to topping host Rosemont on Thursday night, 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-8), in a non-conference volleyball match at Alumnae Gymnasium.
  • Shorewomen Fall Twice in Puerto Rico

    The Washington College volleyball dropped a pair of matches on Sunday in San Juan. In the first match of the day, Washington was downed by Rivier in three sets (25-9, 25-22, 25-21) and then fell to Central Bayamon, 3-0, (28-26, 25-21, 25-23).  It was the second and final day for the team down in Puerto Rico.

    The Washington College volleyball team started its 2019 season by splitting a pair of matches in Puerto Rico on Saturday. The Shorewomen dropped their first match of the day to Politechnica (P.R.) in three sets (25-23, 25-13, 25-22) before rallying to top Rivier in four sets (23-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-19) as they hit .506 in the win over Rivier.
