Marino Named Academic All-Centennial, One of Four Shorewomen on Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. — Four student-athletes from the Washington College volleyball team have qualified for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for fall sports. Among those four is junior Kaitlyn Marino (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow), who was also named Academic All-Centennial based on her combination of qualifying for the Academic Honor Roll and her selection as an All-Centennial Conference honorable mention.

In order to qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

This is Marino's second year in a row on the Academic Honor Roll and second straight year earning Academic All-Centennial honors. (She was named to the 2016 All-Centennial Conference second team.) Senior Amy Rohn (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga) qualified for the Academic Honor Roll for the third year in a row, while senior Sarah Bentley (Hagerstown, Pa./North Hagerstown) and sophomore Olivia Portera (Parkton, Md./Institute of Notre Dame) were first-time qualifiers.

Marino is majoring in both Biology and Psychology. Rohn is majoring in English, while Bentley is majoring in Business Management. Portera has yet to declare a major.
