    Rising senior outside hitter Kristin Lee participated in Beyond Sports’ Third Annual Costa Rica Volleyball Tour from May 22-30 in the Central American country of Costa Rica. She was part of a team of all-conference selections and statistical leaders from across the United States to play against the Cotsa Rica National Volleyball Team and other top club teams. In addition to playing volleyball, they conducted clinics for the Costa Rican youth and also got to explore Costa Rica during the nine-day stay.

    Junior outside hitter Kristin Lee garnered All-Centennial Conference second team honors for the third straight season in a vote conducted by the conference’s head volleyball coaches. She is the first Shorewoman to be named a three-time All-Centennial Conference selection in volleyball.

The Shorewomen conclude their 2014 season at 19-9 overall and 3-7 in the Centennial, while the Green Terror end their campaign at 18-11 and 3-7 respectively.

The Shorewomen improve to 17-7 overall and 2-5 in the Centennial, while the Bears fall to 13-11 and 1-7 respectively.

The Owls improved to 10-11 overall and 1-5 in conference play, while the Shorewomen fell to 15-7 and 0-5.

The trio of senior middle hitter Sarah Beresik and juniors, middle hitter Jess Daunoras and outside hitter Kristin Lee will serve as captains for the Shorewomen this year. All three are serving as captains for the first time.

    The Washington College volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match at host Marymount University today, falling to the host Saints, 25-16, 25-8, 25-19, before defeating Lycoming, 18-25, 25-16, 25-17, 27-25. The Shorewomen are now 10-2 on the season, while Marymount, which also defeated Lycoming on the afternoon, is 14-2, and Lycoming is 9-7.

The Shorewomen improve to 9-1 overall, while the Profs fall to 4-6. The 9-1 mark matches the 1978 team for best record after 10 matches for a Shorewomen volleyball squad.

    Washington College went 2-0 in the second and final day of the 2014 Frostburg State Tournament in a pair of non-conference volleyball matches on Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Arena. The Shorewomen downed Cairn, 3-0, (25-14, 25-14, 25-15) in the first match and Eastern Mennonite, 3-1, (25-23, 17-25, 25-9, 25-11) in the second contest. The Shorewomen, who went 4-0 this weekend, are now 8-1 and off to their best start since 1978 when the team opened up 8-1.

The Shorewomen topped the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 3-0, (25-11, 25-19, 25-21) in the first match of the day and downed the Rochester Yellowjackets, 3-0, (25-18, 25-18, 25-20) in the second match of the day.

    Visiting Washington College set a program record with 23 service aces in a, 3-0, (25-10, 25-12, 25-14) win over host Rosemont in a non-conference volleyball match on Thursday night at Alumnae Hall. The Shorewomen improve to 4-1 overall, while the Ravens fall to 0-2. The 23 aces breaks the record of 22 service aces by a Shorewomen squad, which was set on September 1, 2008, in a four-set win over Cedar Crest.

    The Washington College volleyball team split a pair of matches in the second and final day at the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic at Hauser Field House. The Shorewomen lost their opening match of the day to Eastern, 3-0, (25-16, 25-8, 25-22) and topped Salve Regina, 3-0, (25-19, 25-7, 27-25) in the second match of the day. The Shorewomen are 3-1 on the season.
  • Shorewomen Serve Up Two Victories To Begin Season Over Messiah and Penn State Altoona

    The Washington College volleyball team won a pair of matches to open its 2014 campaign in the first day of the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic at Hauser Field House. The Shorewomen downed Messiah, 3-1, (25-21, 25-16, 7-25, 25-23) and broomed Penn State Altoona, 3-0, (25-19, 25-20, 29-27) on Friday evening. The win over Messiah was the program’s first victory over the Falcons in eight tries.
  • Volleyball Season Preview

    In 2013, the Washington College volleyball team achieved its most successful season since 1977 by recording a 19-9 record and had its best campaign in the Centennial Conference since 1993 (6-4) by going 5-5 in conference contests. This season, the team seeks to build on these achievements by reaching the Centennial Conference Tournament for the first time in program history under second-year head coach Jamie Leventry.
