Bullets Sweep Shorewomen, 25-14, 25-9, 25-16

GETTYSBURG, PA -- Host Gettysburg College swept visiting Washington College, 25-14, 25-9, 25-16, in a Centennial Conference volleyball match tonight in Gettysburg, PA.  The Bullets improved to 10-6 overall and 2-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 7-6 and 0-3 with the loss.

Cyndney Bracken pounded down 13 kills and served six aces for the Bullets, while Virginia Hogan finished with 12 kills, six digs, and four aces. Lizzy Kuhn added 17 assists for the Bullets, who hit .301 as a team in the win.

Junior outside hitter Alyssa Forget (River Vale, NJ/Pascack Valley) and freshman outside hitter Lauren Bell (Center Valley, PA/Southern Lehigh) had five kills each for the Shorewomen.

Gettysburg served 14 aces in the match while committing no receiving errors.

The Shorewomen return to action Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. home match against Stevenson.
