The Shorewomen swept the host Profs 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 27-25), before losing to the Saints 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-17).

    Washington College won the 34th annual Penny Fall Classic for the first time ever on Saturday at the Cain Athletic Center. Washington (8-6) beat Albright (6-9) in the finale, 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-19), while falling to Stevenson (7-7) in the opening match, 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-18, 25-19). The middle match saw Albright down Stevenson, 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-23).

The Shorewomen (7-2) fell to Delaware Valley in the opening match, 22-25, 13-25, 26-24, 25-19, 15-12. Washington rebounded to best Arcadia in three sets, 25-16, 27-25, 25-21 and broomed Penn State-Berks, 25-21, 25-18, 25-11.

    The Washington College volleyball team posted a pair of wins on the first day of the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic, hosted by Gettysburg College. The Shorewomen (3-0) hit a rally scoring-era school-record .500 as a team in a 25-12, 25-10, 25-9, victory over Keystone and held off Penn State-Harrisburg, 25-21, 25-13, 18-25, 25-22.
