Samer Wins in Singles and Doubles for Shorewomen

HILTON HEAD, S.C. — The Lake Forest women's tennis team remained undefeated in dual matches with a 7-2 win over Washington College in non-conference action today at the Hilton Head Beach & tennis Resort.

- The Foresters won at the bottom two doubles spots as Allison Watts and Tyranny Miller beat Cecilia Cress and Sarah Bruno, 8-7(2), at No. 2 and Emma Wang and Grace Gould topped Mariah Thomas and Hayley Sanchez, 8-4, at No. 3.
- The Shorewomen won at No. 1 singles as Alisha White and Ella Samer defeated Julie Lord and Leeza Bodner, 8-7(5).

- The Foresters won five of the six singles matches. Lord rallied for a 0-6, 6-4, 12-10, win at No. 1, while Tebatso Duba beat Cress, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 3 and Bodnar topped Bruno, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 4.
- Wang defeated Thomas, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 5, while Katie Wegrecki defeated Sanchez, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 6.
- Samer picked up the Shorewomen's second point of the match with a 3-6, 6-3, 10-4, win against Watts at No. 2.

- Lake Forest improved to 13-0 with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 1-2 with the loss.
