Glasser Earns All-America Honorable Mention in Two Events at NCAA Championships

Senior Finishes Her Career with a Total of Seven All-America or All-America Honorable Mention Performances

KNOXVILLE, TN -- Washington College senior Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) achieved All-America honorable mention status in two events at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. Glasser competed at the meet, which is being held at the University of Tennessee, Wednesday, yesterday, and today. 

Glasser's top finish came today in the 200 butterfly, where she took fourth in the "B" final and 12th overall with a time of 2:04.37. She swam a 2:04.51 in the preliminaries of the event, giving her the 11th-fastest time in the heats. Her 12th-place overall finish gave her her second All-America honorable mention performance of the meet.

In her first event on Wednesday, Glasser achieved All-America honorable mention in the 500 freestyle. She finished 15th overall and seventh in the "B" final in 5:01.53. She posted the 14th-fastest time in the preliminaries of the event, finishing her heat in 4:59.31.

Yesterday, Glasser competed in the 200 freestyle, finishing 17th in the preliminaries in 1:52.65, one place out of a spot in the "B" final.

Glasser finishes her storied career with a total of seven All-America or All-America honorable mention swims in her career, the most of any swimmer in Washington College history.
