Swim Teams Receive Scholar All-American Status

Both Washington College swim teams have been awarded Team Scholar All-American status for the Fall 2010 semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association. To qualify for the award, the team must finish with a team grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the fall semester.

The Washington College women's swim team recorded a team grade-point average of 3.36, while the Washington College men's swim team's grade-point average was 3.09. McDaniel's women's team (3.41) and Dickinson's men's (3.25) and women's (3.06) teams were the only other Centennial Conference swim teams to earn Scholar All-American status for the fall semester.

The Shorewomen's grade-point average ranked 24th among Division III schools, while the Shoremen's ranked 32nd.
