Varsity Four Takes Second
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The 11th-ranked Washington College women's rowing team hosted its lone home regatta of the fall today on the Chester River, taking on fellow Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference member St. Mary's (Md.) as well as Division I La Salle. The Shorewomen won both the first and second varsity eights.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen won the first varsity eight in 8:43.46. La Salle was second in 9:00.31 and St. Mary's third in 9:17.57.
- The Shorewomen's winning time in the second varsity eight was 8:43.21. St. Mary's was the only other entrant in that race, finishing in 9:22.68.
- La Salle won the varsity four in 10:08.14, followed by the Shorewomen in second (10:47.59) and St. Mary's in third (11:30.81).

- St. Mary's head coach Dan Hagelberg previously spent two years as the assistant men's rowing coach at Washington College.
