• Opponents Determined for Washington College Family at Shootout For Soldiers

    Washington College Family, consisting of current players, alumni and children of both the Shoremen and Shorewomen Lacrosse programs have found out its opponents in the eighth annual Shootout For Soldiers Baltimore on June 17-18 at Troy Park in Elkridge, Md with the Shoremen and Shorewomen playing on the night of the 17th.  The women will play Hero's 2020 at 8:00 p.m. and the men will follow at 9:00 p.m. against Mount Saint Joseph (MSJ) Gaels as both teams will play on Field 1.

    Recently graduated Washington College women's lacrosse student-athletes Cecily Docktor and Madison Schutz have been selected to play in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Senior All-Star Game Saturday, June 1st, on Tierney Field at  US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.

  • Docktor & Robinson Named Second-Team All-Region

    Washington College attacker Cecily Docktor and midfielder Aubrey Robinson have been named to the All-Metro Region second team by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).  Docktor, who graduated from the College yesterday, received the honor for the second year in a row. Robinson, who completed her junior year this spring, is a first-time All-Region selection.

    Junior attacker Lauren Brenner and junior midfielder Aubrey Robinson have been named Academic All-Centennial Conference and are two of seven student-athletes from the Washington College women’s lacrosse team to have qualified for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports.
  • Five Shorewomen Laxers Garner All-Centennial Recognition

    Five Washington College women’s lacrosse student-athletes have earned 2019 All-Centennial Conference honors today following a vote by the conference’s 10 head coaches.  Senior attacker Cecily Docktor was named to the first team, senior midfielder Emily Pantazes, junior attacker Lauren Brenner and junior midfielder Aubrey Robinson were tabbed to the second team, while sophomore defender Catherine Keirn was selected honorable mention.  Docktor is now a three-time all-conference pick, while Emily Pantazes, Brenner, Robinson and Keirn are all first time recipients.  In addition, senior attacker Alison Pantazes represented the Shorewomen on the conference’s All-Sportsmanship Team for the first time in women’s lacrosse.

    Sophomore lacrosse player Anna Bennett is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Bennett had a team-high four draw controls and tied for a team high with three points in the Shorewomen's 17-8 loss to Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference Semifinals.

    The Washington College men’s and women’s lacrosse programs consisting of current players, alumni and children of the programs will be participating in the eighth annual Shootout For Soldiers Baltimore on June 17-18 at Troy Park in Elkridge, Md.  The event will start at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th and will conclude on the 18th at 4:00 p.m.  The Shoremen and Shorewomen Laxers have participated in the event every year.
  • #2 Bullets Best #24 Shorewomen in Centennial Conference Tournament Semifinals, 17-8

    #2 Gettysburg, the number two seed in the Centennial Conference Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, raced out to a 7-0 lead on its way to a 17-8 win over #24 Washington College, the tournament’s third seed, in the semifinal round of the tournament on Saturday afternoon on Tom Gilburg Field at Shadek Stadium on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College.  The Shorewomen fall to 12-6 and will await word on a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament tomorrow evening with the selection show beginning at 9:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.

    The Washington College Athletics Department held its annual athletic awards ceremony tonight, honoring the top student-athletes for the 2018-19 academic year.  Team Most Valuable Players and Most Improved Players were named, and several special departmental awards were presented as well.

    Host #2 Gettysburg overcame a 6-3 first half deficit to lead 9-8 at halftime on its way to a 16-13 win over visiting #25 Washington in Centennial Conference women’s lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Clark Field.  It was the regular season finale for both teams.  The Shorewomen and Bullets will meet next Saturday at Franklin & Marshall in the Centennial Conference Tournament semifinal round.

    Host #24 Washington College overcame a 9-7 halftime deficit by outscoring visiting Haverford, 6-3, in the second half to come away with a 13-12 win in Centennial Conference women’s lacrosse action on Wednesday night at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr., Stadium.  With the win, Washington College secured a spot in the Centennial Conference Women’s Lacrosse Tournament for the ninth straight season and 12th time in program history.

    Senior attacker Cecily Docktor became eighth player in the history of Shorewomen Lacrosse to reach 200 career points as she had five points on two goals and three assists as visiting #25 Washington College came away with a 17-7 victory over host Muhlenberg in Centennial Conference women’s lacrosse action on Saturday night on Frank Marino Field at Scotty Wood Stadium.  The Shorewomen improve to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the Centennial, while the Mules drop to 7-4 and 2-2 respectively.  Washington extends its winning streak to eight games and the team’s first eight-game winning streak since opening the 2003 season 9-0.
