SPARKS, Md. — Recent Washington College graduate Madison Acra (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Academy) suited up for the South Team at an an abbreivated Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Senior All-Star Game Saturday at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. The game was stopped with 2:46 remaining in the first half due to the lightning. The North Team won the shortened game, 6-5.
Acra had a career year as a senior this past season, scoring 34 goals on 67 shots and assisting on eight others for 42 total points. All of those numbers were career bests. She was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team and landed on the Academic All-Centennial Team after earned a spot on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the third year in a row. For her career, she totalled 54 goals, 22 assists, 76 points, 111 shots, 44 ground balls, 18 draw controls, and 23 caused turnovers in 64 games played. The Shorewomen advanced to the Centennial Conference Tournament in each of her four seasons with the team.
