SPARKS, Md. — The Washington College women's lacrosse team is ranked 20th in the latest US Lacrosse Magazine/Nike Division III Top 20.
The Shorewomen improved to 6-1 overall this season with a 16-12 win over Dickinson in their Centennial Conference opener on Saturday. The 6-1 start is the Shorewomen's best since starting the 2011 season with seven consecutive victories.
Washington returns to action tomorrow with a non-conference game at Rowan. Rowan is currently ranked 23rd in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Top 25, but is not ranked in the US Lacrosse Magazine/Nike Poll. The Shorewomen are unranked in the IWLCA poll, so tomorrow's game could be considered by some as a battle between the two polls.
