LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior goalie Maddie Mullen (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven Regional) has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse for the week of March 21-27.  This is the first time she has won the conference's weekly award.

Mullen posted a .579 save percentage and a 4.75 goals-against average in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen. She allowed just two goals in 41 minutes of work in the 14-5 triumph versus St. Joseph's (L.I.) and made eight saves in the 10-6 victory against Rowan.  The junior had total 11 saves in the two wins this past week.

She is the second Washington College women's lacrosse player to win the award in a three-week span.  Junior defender Anna Inserra (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollows Hills West) won the award on March 14.
