Second Washington Player Tabbed For Game In Three Years
GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Recent Washington College graduate Emily Hubley (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) has been selected to play in the 2015 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) North/South Division III All-Star Game. The game will take place on Saturday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m. in Radnor, Pa. at Edith Dixon Robb Field on the campus of Cabrini College. She will be a member of the South for the game.
Hubley, who served as a team captain for the second straight season in 2015, led the team in goals (48), points (58), ground balls (33), draw controls (43) and caused turnovers (26) in her 16-game senior season. The midfielder was a four-time All-Centennial Conference honoree, including first-team honors in each of the last three years. She was also a three-time All-Region selection (South in 2013 and Metro in 2014 and 2015) and a 2014 All-America first team pick. She finished her Washington College career with 191 goals and 46 assists for 237, along with 212 draw controls, 144 ground balls and 98 caused turnovers. Hubley ranks first all-time at Washington in draw controls, second in caused turnovers, third in goals and fifth in points. She also holds program record for draw controls in a season (85) and draw controls in a game (11).
This spring, Hubley was named the female co-winner of the Washington College's Senior Athletic Award which "is presented annually to the male student and female student who, in the opinion of the department, achieved the most in athletics at Washington College."
Hubley, who graduated from Washington College on May 16 with a B.S. in Biology, is the second Washington player to play in the game in the past three years as Mollie Shipley participated in the game in 2013.
