GRAND LAKE, Colo. — Washington College senior midfielder Emily Hubley (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) has been selected for All-Region first team honors by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for the third year in a row, landing on the All-Metro Region first team.
Hubley, who was also a four-time All-Centennial Conference selection, is the first player in her team's history to be a three-time first-team All-Region selection. She was named a first-team All-American last season and is a strong candidate for that same honor this year. This season, she led the Shorewomen in goals with 48, points with 58, draw controls with 43, and caused turnovers with 26. She also had 10 assists on the season. She currently ranks second in the Centennial Conference in caused turnovers and is also in the top 10 for both goals (tied for eigth) and ground balls (tied for 10th).
Hubley, who was one of two female winners of the College's Senior Athletic Award this Spring, will graduate from the school with a degree in Biology this Saturday. She holds the school career (212), single-season (85), and single-game (11) records for draw controls.
