Early Saturday morning on March 7th, 2015 the Washington College Women's lacrosse team departed BWI (Baltimore-Washington International Airport) to its destination of Tampa, Florida. Upon arrival the team managed to pack themselves and all their belongings into vans and make a short road trip to Sarasota. The team settled into the hotel and then went out to grab a bite to eat.

Sunday, March 8
The team started off their Sunday morning early with a practice. After practice they made their way to the beautiful, white sand beaches of Sarasota where they spent the rest of their day soaking up
some rays. They then finished off the day with a team dinner.

Monday, March 9
The first day of competition for the Shorewomen was on Monday March 9th. It was an early afternoon game at 2 p.m. against Roger Williams University. The Shorewomen came out strong scoring the first goal and being up 6-2 at halftime with three of the goals coming from sophomore
attacker (Kat) Katherine Vincent. They continued their roll after halftime, ending the game with a final score of 14-7. Goalie Haylee Solomon had 10 saves and as a team the Shorewomen were 100% on clears. To celebrate the first win of the season, the team headed out for an Italian dinner.

Tuesday, March 10
After another early practice on Tuesday morning, the team packed up the vans again for a road trip to their next destination of Orlando, which was a two-hour journey. Upon arrival the team checked in to the hotel and then promptly made their way to Universal Studios for an afternoon of adventure.

Wednesday, March 11
Wednesday morning started out as a relaxing day by the pool and then the team began to prep for their final game in Florida. The 4 p.m. game against Rhode Island College took place at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. The temperature reached a whopping 90 degrees but that
didn't stop the women's lacrosse team from winning 17-0!! Not only did they have an amazing win, but they also made history by not letting Rhode Island College take one shot on goal. Great job ladies! Following the big win, the team met up with family and friends to finish off their last night in Florida at the Hash House where as shown in the picture to the left, sophomore attacker, Alli Dudley, enjoys a bite of her massive burger.

Thursday, March 12
The team had an early wake up Thursday morning as they headed to the airport in Orlando to catch a flight back to BWI and then back to good ole' Chestertown. Needless to say it was an all-around eventful, exciting, and successful trip for the Shorewomen. The Shorewomen began conference play at home on March 28th at 1 p.m. against Franklin & Marshall.
