Solomon Named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week

Wins Award For The Second Time This Season

LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore goalkeeper Haylee Solomon (Wantagh, N.Y./Sanford H. Calhoun) has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse for the week of April 6-12 as announced by the conference office.  This is the second time this season and in her career she has won the conference's weekly award as she also garnered the award on March 16.

Solomon tallied a 4.00 goals against average, a .625 save percentage and a 1-0 record in a pair of wins for the Shorewomen this past week.  In the team's 11-6 win over visiting Dickinson on Saturday, she turned away 10 shots to help WC end a three-game losing streak, all by one goal, to the Red Devils.  She made three of her saves when Washington was clinging to a 7-6 lead in the second half, including a free position stop with 17:31 to go in the game.  On Wednesday in the squad's 16-0 win at Bryn Mawr, she played the final 30 minutes of the game and did not surrender a goal.
