Eisenbrandt, Parrish Tally Two Goals, Assist Each in Loss
ELIZABETHTOWN, PA -- Host Elizabethtown College scored on nine of its 12 first-half shots to build a 9-4 halftime lead en route to a 14-7 non-conference women's lacrosse win over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Elizabethtown, PA. The Blue Jays improved to 4-3 with the win, while the Shorewomen slipped to 4-2 with the loss.
Becky Porter led Elizabethtown with three goals and two assists, while Madalyn Schnader had two goals and two assists and Emily Butler and Leigh Flounlacker had two goals and one assist each. Andrea Russo and Katie Scheurich had two goals each, while Caitlin Knight had two assists.
Senior attacker Kalli Parrish (Timonium, MD/McDonogh School) and sophomore midfielder Carly Eisenbrandt (Baltimore, MD/Towson) scored two goals and had one assist each for the Shorewomen. Senior attacker Liza Twilley (Salisbury, MD/Salisbury School), junior attacker Corinne Ziccardi (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven), and junior midfielder Mollie Shipley (Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic) tallied one goal each for Washington.
Rachel Waldwan played the first 50:11 in goal for the Blue Jays and made 13 saves while allowing just four goals.
Elizabethtown held a 31-25 advantage in shots in the game and was 21-for-22 on clears.
The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Franklin & Marshall.
