The Diplomats (15-2) advance to tomorrow's championship game, while the Shorewomen finish their season at 11-5.

    Visiting Washington College scored the first five goals of the second half en route to a 10-9 win over host Haverford in the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament's first round game tonight on Swan Field. With the win, the Shorewomen advanced to a Saturday date at top-seed Franklin & Marshall in a semifinal game.

    Washington College head women's lacrosse coach Julika Blankenship has been named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year in a vote conducted by the conference's head coaches. In addition, Washington senior attacker Sarah Cannon has been named to the All-Centennial Conference second team.

The Fords improved to 9-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 10-3 and 4-3 with the loss.

    Washington College sophomore attacker Corinne Ziccardi (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven) has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse for the week ending April 10th. Ziccardi had seven goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen, who reached 10 wins in a season for the first time since 2004.

    Winningest Season for Shorewomen Since 2003; First Win Over Dickinson Since 2004 CHESTERTOWN, MD – The Washington College women’s lacrosse team ended a seven-year losing streak to Dickinson College with a 13-7 Centennial Conference home win over the Red Devils this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen improved to 10-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play with the win, while the Red Devils fell to 4-9 and 1-4 with the loss. The 10 wins mark the Shorewomen’s highest win total in a season since going 14-6 in 2003.
