Paulshock Named to Second Team
LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College sophomore defender Brooke Paulshock (Forest Hill, MD/C. Milton Wright) and freshman midfielder Mollie Shipley (Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic) have earned All-Centennial Conference recognition for women's lacrosse in a vote conducted by the conference's head coaches. Paulshock was named to the second team, while Shipley was tabbed as an honorable mention.
Paulshock, who was named her team's Most Valuable Player, started all 15 games for the Shorewomen this season. She was third on the team in ground balls (25), tied for second in draw controls (26), and third in caused turnovers (12).
Shipley, who was just one of two freshmen league-wide to earn All-Centennial honors this year, also started all 15 games and led the Shorewomen in goals (31), points (36), and ground balls (28). She was second on the team in caused turnovers with 15. She finished the season ranked 11th in the conference in goals per game.
The Shorewomen finished the 2010 season with an 8-7 record, their first above .500 campaign in six years.
