Weir Tallies Career-High Three Steals To Tie For Tops In Game
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting McDaniel got a game-high 16 points from Lindsey Nichols on its way to a 52-38 win over visiting Washington College on Wednesday evening in a Centennial Conference women's basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center.

How It Happened
-Washington, trailing 8-7 entering the second quarter, took a 9-8 lead 54 seconds into the quarter on a jumper by Gabby Winsky. It would be the hosts final lead of the game as McDaniel scored the next nine points to take a 17-9 lead with 5:07 to go on a Karli Zeps jumper.
-The Green Terror would take a 25-15 lead into halftime.
-In the third quarter, the Shorewomen would get it within seven at 30-23 with 5:44 to go on a Jordan Weir three-pointer before McDaniel scored the final 11 points of the third to take a 41-23 lead going into the fourth on an Ekatereni Tsomos triple to beat the buzzer ending the quarter.
-In the fourth, McDaniel would take its biggest lead of the game at 21 points at 49-28 with 4:32 remaining on two free throws by Nichols.
-The Shorewomen would score 10 of the final 13 points of the game to provide the final margin.

-Nichols (game-best 16 points), Sarah Bach (seven boards to lead team), Brittney Davis (game-topping eight assists), Jasmine Smith (three steals to tie for contest-best)
-McDaniel outrebounded Washington 40-38 and held a 13-4 advantage on points off of turnovers.
