Thiemann Hauls Down Team-Best 11 Rebounds

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Host #16 Muhlenberg never trailed in a 78-49 victory over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall in Centennial Conference women's basketball action.

How It Happened
-After Washington's Emily Thiemann hit a jumper with 5:02 left to cut the Muhlenberg to 10-4, the Mules scored the final 16 points of the first quarter to take a 26-4 lead after the first quarter.
-The 16 points were part of an 18-0 run that gave Muhlenberg a 28-4 lead with 9:42 to go in the second quarter on a Maggie Zerbe layup.
-The Shorewomen would answer with a 13-4 run to cut the Mules' lead to 32-17 with 3:34 remaining in the second on an Ali Grundy three-pointer.
-Muhlenberg scored the final eight points of the second quarter to take a 40-17 lead into halftime.  Rachel Plotke canned a jumper with 33 ticks to go to round out the second quarter scoring.
-The Mules outscored the Shorewomen 38-32 in the second half and would lead by as many as 32.

For The Shorewomen (3-19, 0-16 CC)
-Thiemann (team-best 11 rebounds), Jordan Weir (10 points), Alexis Krahling (five assists to lead Washington)

For Muhlenberg (20-2, 14-2 CC)
-Christina Santone (game-highs of 17 points and 13 boards for a double-double), Brandi Vallely (11 points and game-topping nine assists), Plotke (14 points)
-The Mules held a 49-35 advantage of the glass.
