CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Swarthmore had three players score in double figures on its way to a 59-37 over host Washington College on Thursday night at the Cain Athletic Center in a Centennial Conference women's basketball game.

How It Happened
-The Shorewomen raced out to a quick 7-2 lead just 1:51 in on a layup by Brynne Brouse.
-Swarthmore would respond with an 8-2 run to take the lead for good at 10-9 with 5:30 left in first quarter on a Hayley Raymond lay-in.
-The Garnet, which took a 15-12 lead into the second quarter, scored the first eight points of the second quarter to take a 23-12 lead with 5:51 to go in the second on a Raina Williams free throw.
-The visitors took a 27-19 lead into halftime, outscored the hosts 20-8 in the third quarter to take a 47-27 lead into the fourth.
-Jessica Jowdy would give Swarthmore its biggest lead of the game with 6:16 left in the fourth quarter of 24 points a 51-27. The closest WC got the rest of the way was 18 points.

-Grundy (career-high three steals to go along with a game-high five assists, a team-best nine points and seven boards), Brouse (team-high eight rebounds)
For Swarthmore (4-17, 3-12 CC)
-Abbey Deckard (12 points and game-high 12 rebounds for double-double to go with three steals), Jowdy (game-bests of 15 points and four steals, team-high four helpers), Williams (12 points and three steals)
-Swarthmore outscored WC 38-16 in points in the paint and had 47-41 edge on the glass.
