Moore 12 Points and Career-High Three Steals
HAVERFORD, Pa. – Host Haverford got a double-double and game-highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds from Samantha Wetzel on its way to a 61-42 win over visiting Washington at Gooding Arena in a Centennial Conference women's basketball game on Tuesday night.

How It Happened
-The Fords scored six of the final eight points of the first quarter to turn a 6-6 tie into a 12-8 lead. Tori Hopkins hit a pair of free throws with 20 seconds to round out the first quarter scoring.
-Haverford scored 10 of the first 12 points of the second quarter to take a 22-10 lead with 6:16 to go in the quarter on a Samantha Wetzel jumper. The Wetzel hoop capped a 16-4 run for the Fords.
-The Shorewomen would cut the deficit to four points on two occasions in the second, the last one being on a Kat Moore jumper to cut the Haverford lead to 24-20 with 1:29 left. But the Fords ended the first half scoring when Olivia Walsh ended the first half on a lay-in that beat the buzzer to give the hosts a 26-20 lead.
-In the third quarter, the Fords outscored the Shorewomen 16-9 to lead 42-29 going into the fourth stanza.
-Haverford edged Washington in fourth quarter by a 19-13 margin and took its biggest lead of the game at 58-35 with 3:46 to go in the contest on a Hopkins bunny.

-Washington outscored the Fords in bench points by a 19-11 margin.

-The Fords held a 36-35 edge in rebounds and shot 49% from the floor.
