Grundy Tallies 15 Points To Tie For Game-High and Hands Out Seven Assists To Tie Career-High

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Gettysburg had three players score in double figures and never trailed on its way to a 61-46 win over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon at the Cain Athletic Center in Centennial Conference women's basketball action.

How It Happened
-The Bullets scored the first five points of the game and led 14-7 after one quarter.
-After WC's Alexis Krahling canned a three-pointer to open the second quarter scoring 15 seconds in for the Shorewomen, Gettysburg scored the next nine points to take a 23-10 lead with 5:06 to go in the second on a pair of free throws by Emily Gibbons.  The visitors took a 31-15 lead into halftime.
-In the third quarter, the Bullets took their biggest lead of the game of 27 points when Annie Reilly made a layup with 1:55 left in the third to give Gettysburg a 50-23 lead and had a 50-25 lead after three.
-The Shorewomen outscored the Bullets 21-11 in the fourth quarter and trimmed the deficit to 13 points on a pair of occasions in the fourth quarter.

For The Shorewomen (3-14, 0-11 CC)
-Ali Grundy (15 points to tie for game-high and ties personal-best with seven helpers).
-Washington had assists of 17 of its 18 made baskets.
-The Shorewomen held an 11-2 edge in transition points and 10-4 in points off of turnovers.

For Gettysburg (13-4, 7-4 CC)
-Jessica Porter (15 points to tie for tops in game, team-high four assists and contest-best two blocks), Emma Dorshimer (12 points), Gibbons (10 points), Emily Duggan (game-high seven rebounds). 
-The Bullets outrebounded the Shorewomen by a 39-27 margin and shot 45% from the floor.
-Held a 28-12 advantage in points in the paint and scored all nine second chance points in the win.

Notes
-36 of the 40 made field goals in the game were assisted.  Gettysburg had 19 assists on 22 made field goals in the game, while Washington had 17 on 18 makes.
