LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College senior guard Meghan Tait (Oxford, PA/Oxford Area) has been named the Centennial Conference's Co-Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week ending February 12. Tait averaged 12 points, 9.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 4.5 steals in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen.
This is the first weekly conference award for Tait. She scored six points, grabbed eight boards, handed out six assists, and swiped six steals in a 67-44 win at Swarthmore Wednesday, helping the Shorewomen clinch their first winning season in 13 years. She then scored 18 points, brought down 11 rebounds, handed out seven assists, and swiped three steals as Washington beat Gettysburg, 58-50, on Saturday for the Shorewomen's second-ever road win over the Bullets and first since 1996. She also became the Shorewomen's all-time leader in career free throws made during the game.
