WCTS Summer Roundup

Student-athletes from the Washington College trap and skeet team (WCTS) enjoyed a number of individual successes over the summer. Here's a round-up of some of them, as submitted by the student-athletes:

Camerin Caraballo (Junior)
- Broke 96 in handicaps at the 20-yard line placed fourth overall for Junior Gold during the AIM Grand
- Broke 95 in Skeet, a persona best

Greg Carpenter (Freshman)
- Finished second overall in Skeet at SCTP Regionals
- Earned a spot on All-Ohio Team in Sporting Clays
- Finished second pverall in Sporting Clays at SCTP State Championship
- Finished third in 28g C Class at OSSA
- Finished third in .410 C Class at OSSA
- Placed second in CLass 3 20g at Junior Worlds
- Finished second in 28g Collegiate Division at Zone 3 Shoot

Sammy DiLoreto (Sophomore)
- Shot new personal bests in Trap (86 of 100) and Skeet (80 of 100)

Chance Lowery (Freshman)
- Ran first-ever 50 State in Trap at SCTP State Championship
- Earned a place on Michigan All-State Sporting Clays Team
- Took high season average and high average male in Skeet and had high conference average male in Trap.
- Took high gun with a 90/100 in Sporting Clays at Southeast Conference Championship
- Placed third in skeet at Southeast Conference Championship
- Took fourth in state in Sporting Clays with a 96/100

Nathaniel Neuland (Junior)
- Competed in state, national and world championships and shot over 3,000 ATA registered Trap targets, 200 registered NSSA Skeet, and 200 NSCA registered Sporting Clays plus practice targets.
- Highlights included winning a $2500 AIM Academic Scholarship, shooting 100 straight Trap targets at the Maryland State Trap shoot and 99 doubles at the Grand American at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex in Sparta, Ill.
- Handicap Champion (score of 95) at MSSA Silver Dollar Shoot 
- Maryland Singles Junior Gold Champion (score of 197/200) at Maryland State Trap Shoot 
- AIM MSE Maryland Junior Gold Champion (score of 99)
- First Place Skeet Class D (score of 94) at Delmarva Open
- Ninth Place Junior Gold Skeet (score 96) at AIM Grand National Championship
- AIM Academic Scholarship of $2500 presented at 2019 AIM Grand National Championships
- Champions of Champions Event (score of 96) at Grand American World Trapshooting Championship
- Second Place Class A Doubles Trap (score of 99) at Grand American World Trapshooting Championship 

Will Sears (Sophomore)
- Class D Runner-Up (score of 194) in Junior Gold at AIM Grand Singles 
- E Class Champion in 12Ga Skeet at Delmarva Open
