Bennett Named to All-Sportsmanship Team

LANCASTER, Pa. — Washington College freshman shortstop Megan Robbins (Denton, Md./North Caroline) has been named an All-Centennial Conference honorable mention in a vote conducted by the conference's nine head softball coaches. In addition, senior pitcher Maddie Bennett (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) represents the Shorewomen on the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.

Robbins led the Shorewomen in doubles (10) and walks (12), was second on the team in slugging (.410) and RBI (16) and finished third on the team in on-base percentage (.367) during her rookie season. She hit .286 with 14 runs scored and was one of only two Shorewomen to start all 39 games this season. Her numbers at the plate were even better across the Shorewomen's 16 conference games as she led the team in hitting (.340), on-base percentage (.404), and slugging (.420) in league play.

Bennett, a team captain, was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team for the first time in her career. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student-athlete who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship for the All-Sportsmanship Team.
