Six Shorewomen Land on Centennial Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. — Six Washington College softball student-athletes have been officially named members of the 2018 Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports as released today by the conference office.

In order to qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

Senior infielder Gabrielle Edwards (Bear, Del./St. Georges Technical) and senior pitcher Milly Kawabata (Kirkland, Wash./Juanita) both qualified for the Academic Honor Roll for the third year in a row. Junior pitcher Maddie Bennett (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) and junior infielder Kerrigan Buck (Dalton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) qualified for the second year in a row, while sophomore infielders Jenna Gordon (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) and Leah Stokes (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) were first-time qualifiers.

Bennett is a double major in Spanish and International Studies. Edwards and Stokes are both Biology majors, Gordon and Kawabata are both Psychology majors, and Buck is an Environmental Science major.
