CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Washington College senior skipper Paul Hart (Cape May Court House, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) has been named to the 2017-18 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-Academic Sailing Team.
A total of 238 student-athletes from across the country were named to the team. The ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team recognizes collegiate sailors who have achieved excellence in national and inter-conference competition as well as excelling at the highest academic level for the 2017-18 academic year. In order to qualify as a member of the ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, and be a starter or key reserve in at least seven institution-sponsored regattas.
Hart, a Biology major, sailed in nine regattas last season, second-most on the team. He was named to the MAISA All-Academic Team last week.
