Washington College Sailing Closes Out Season at Salisbury Spring Open

Team Unofficially Finishes in Third Place

SALISBURY, Md. — The Washington College sailing team closed out its 2017-18 season by finishing an unofficial third of six teams at the Salisbury Spring Open this weekend.

How It Happened
- The host school, Salisbury University, was unable to access the scoring software during the regatta so all results reported here are currently unofficial.
- Skipper Haber Carlson and crew Lindsay Fullerton were second or third in A Division. Skipper Andrew Houghton and crew Haley Wilt were third or fourth in B Division, taking first place in race 3B.  

Notes & Weather
- Four races sailed in each division on Saturday with winds starting around 5-10 miles per hour and increasing to 15-18. Racing was called off at 3:30 p.m. Saturday due to a number of boats capsizing.
- Excessive winds prevented any racing from taking place on Sunday.
