Cochran, Hindt, Rodrigue Serving as Sailing Captains

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Seniors Allison Cochran (Mount Airy, Md./Urbana), Bridgette Hindt (Clayton, Del./Smyrna), and Griffin Rodrigue (Fort Mill, S.C./Charlotte Catholic [N.C.]) are serving as the captains of the Washington College sailing team this season.

Cochran has sailed as a crew in 28 collegiate regattas and was named to the 2015 MAISA All-Academic Team. She has three top-five divisional finishes to her credit, including a first-place finish in B Division at the 2015 Salisbury Spring Open.

Hindt has sailed as a crew in 23 collegiate regattas. She has helped the team to four top-five divisional finishes in her career, including wins in A Division 2015 Jeremy Pinkerton Memorial and the 2017 Salisbury Spring Open. 

Rodrigue has sailed in 27 collegiate regattas, primarily as a crew. He helped the team to a second-place finish in B Division at the 2015 Jeremy Pinkerton Memorial and a third-place finish in B Division at the same regatta two years later.

The Washington College sailing team will open its 2017-18 season at the Riley Cup, hosted by Old Dominion, September 9th and 10th.
