Shoremen Win All Six Singles Matches in Straight Sets

HILTON HEAD, S.C. — The Washington College men's tennis team picked up its first dual-match win of the season today by defeating Lake Forest, 9-0, in non-conference action at Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort.

Washington College 9, Lake Forest 0

Doubles
- Chris Salisbury and Jake Sandler topped Matt Kacyn and Brant Christensen, 8-6, at No. 1.
- Kyle Hickey and Koby Bonta defeated Aidan Burke and Chase Garber, 8-2, at No. 2.
- August Meriot and Mitchell Evans downed Joe Bove and Carson Chen, 8-3, at No. 3.

Singles
- Salisbury downed Kacyn, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 1. Sandler beat Burke, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2, while Hickey defeated Bove by the same score at No. 3.
- Meriot bested Garber, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 4, Bonta beat Christensen, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 5, and Andrew Smith blanked Matthew Pawlowski, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 6.

Notes
- The Shoremen improved to 1-3 with the win, while Lake Forest fell to 2-6 with the loss.
