Samuels & Savoth Named All-Centennial Conference

Samuels Also Named All-Sportsmanship

LANCASTER, Pa. — Washington College senior goalkeeper Josh Samuels (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) and junior defender Evan Savoth (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) have been named All-Centennial Conference honorable mentions in a vote conducted by the conference's 10 men's soccer head coaches. In addition, Samuels is the team's representative on the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.

This is the second career All-Centennial nod for Samuels, who was named to the second team two years ago. He started 14 games in goal for the Shoremen this season, including all nine conference games, and posted a save percentage of .712 and a goals-against average of 1.27. He also registered a career-best four solo shutouts.

This is the first all-conference honor for Savoth, who started 16 games for the Shoremen and scored one goal on 13 shots this season. He helped lead a defense that held four opponents off the scoreboard this season and limited another seven to one goal each.

Samuels was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team for the first time in his career. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student-athlete who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship for the All-Sportsmanship Team.
