Top Boats Finish in Upper Half of Races
LORTON, Va. — The Washington College men's rowing team opened its fall regatta season at the Occoquan Challenge in Lorton, Va., today, racing two eights and three fours. The Shoremen's top eight and top four both finished in the top half of their respective races.
How It Happened
- The Shoremen had two boats entered in the open eight. One, with bow number 225, finished fifth of 13 boats in 14:50.26. The other, with bow number 232, was 13th in 17:45.99.
- The Shoremen had three boats entered in the open four. Their top finishing boat, bow number 359, placed sixth of 16 boats in 16:25.93. Their next four, bow number 365, was 10th in 16:53.59. Their third four, bow number 368, was 12th in 18:15.95.
