Wilson & Ritter Named Academic All-Centennial, Among Nine Shoremen on Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. — Senior defenseman Kevin Wilson (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) and senior midfielder Trey Ritter (Norfolk, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate School) have been named Academic All-Centennial Conference and are two of nine student-athletes from the Washington College men's lacrosse team to have qualified for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports.

In order to qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average through the Fall 2018 semester.

Academic All-Centennial honors are bestowed upon student-athletes who are named All-Centennial Conference and earn a spot on the Academic Honor Roll in the same season. Wilson, who is now a two-time Academic All-Centennial qualifier, was named to the All-Centennial second team earlier this month, while Ritter was tabbed as an All-Centennial honorable mention.

Among the Shoremen's nine Academic Honor Roll qualifiers are four three-time qualifiers: Wilson, Ritter, seniors Nick Boyles (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) and Brady O'Neill (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett). Junior Adam Mrowiec (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) is a two-time qualifier, while sophomores Evan Gaines (Baltimore, Md./Boys' Latin), Jason Miller (Wallingford, Pa./Episcopal Academy), Sean Reilly (Fallston, Md./Calvert Hall), and Joe Tobin (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate School) are first-time qualifiers.

Wilson and O'Neill are double majors in Economics and Business Management. Boyles, Reilly, and Ritter are all Business Management majors. Gaines is majoring in Communications and Media Studies, Miller in Math, and Mrowiec in Biology. Tobin has yet to declare a major.
