• Ritter and Wilson Named 2019 USILA Scholar All-Americans

    Trey Ritter and Kevin Wilson, who both graduated from Washington College last month, have been named 2019 USILA/Warrior and New Balance Division III Scholar All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).
  • Opponents Determined for Washington College Family at Shootout For Soldiers

    Washington College Family, consisting of current players, alumni and children of both the Shoremen and Shorewomen Lacrosse programs have found out its opponents in the eighth annual Shootout For Soldiers Baltimore on June 17-18 at Troy Park in Elkridge, Md with the Shoremen and Shorewomen playing on the night of the 17th.  The women will play Hero's 2020 at 8:00 p.m. and the men will follow at 9:00 p.m. against Mount Saint Joseph (MSJ) Gaels as both teams will play on Field 1.

  • Wilson & Ritter Named Academic All-Centennial, Among Nine Shoremen on Academic Honor Roll

    Senior defenseman Kevin Wilson and senior midfielder Trey Ritter have been named Academic All-Centennial Conference and are two of nine student-athletes from the Washington College men’s lacrosse team to have qualified for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports.
  • Four Shoremen Lacrosse Players Earn All-Centennial Conference Honors

    Four Washington College players have been selected All-Centennial Conference for men’s lacrosse in a vote conducted by the conference’s nine head coaches.  Seniors, attackman Casey Grieves and defenseman Kevin Wilson and freshman Lawrence Park were named to the all-conference’s second team, while senior midfielder Trey Ritter earned honorable mention.  This is the second time that Grieves and Wilson have been named All-Centennial, while Park and Ritter are first time honorees.  Also announced by the conference was the All-Sportsmanship Team for men’s lacrosse and representing the Shoremen on the team is senior defenseman Cole Handy.

    The Washington College men’s and women’s lacrosse programs consisting of current players, alumni and children of the programs will be participating in the eighth annual Shootout For Soldiers Baltimore on June 17-18 at Troy Park in Elkridge, Md.  The event will start at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th and will conclude on the 18th at 4:00 p.m.  The Shoremen and Shorewomen Laxers have participated in the event every year.

    The Washington College Athletics Department held its annual athletic awards ceremony tonight, honoring the top student-athletes for the 2018-19 academic year.  Team Most Valuable Players and Most Improved Players were named, and several special departmental awards were presented as well.

  • Grieves Hits Milestones in Shoremen's 12-7 Win Over Garnet

    Senior attackman Casey Grieves scored six goals, including the 100th of his career, and added two assists as the visiting Washington College men’s lacrosse team topped Swarthmore, 12-7, in a Centennial Conference game tonight on Clothier Field. Grieves also passed the 150 career point mark in the win.

    CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Kevin Mollihan scored five goals and added five assists for a total of 10 points as visiting sixteenth-ranked Franklin & Marshall defeated host Washington College 18-10 in a Centennial Conference men’s lacrosse game played today on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Diplomats scored 10 straight goals during the game spanning from the middle of the second quarter to the beginning of the fourth quarter.

    CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Zach Pompea scored with 1:59 left in double overtime to lift top-ranked Salisbury to a 15-14 win over host Washington College in the “War on the Shore” men’s lacrosse game for the Charles B. Clark Cup played today on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Sea Gulls outscored the Shoremen 8-2 in the fourth quarter as Washington had built a 12-6 lead after three quarters.
