LANCASTER, Pa. — Washington College senior defenseman Tim Hickey (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) has been named Academic All-Centennial and is one of 10 student-athletes from the Washington College men's lacrosse team to have been officially named members of the 2018 Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports as released today by the conference office.
In order to be named Academic All-Centennial, a student-athlete must receive All-Centennial Conference honors and qualify for the Academic Honor Roll in the same season. In order to qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.
Hickey was named to the All-Centennial Conference second team last week. This is his third time qualifying for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and second time qualifying for Academic All-Centennial. (He was an All-Centennial Conference honorable mention in 2016).
Joining Hickey as three-time Academic Honor Roll qualifiers are senior midfielder Tanner Barbieri (Wayne, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) and senior defenseman Graham Hulsey (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley). The Shoremen's two-time Academic Honor Roll qualifiers are junior midfielder Nick Boyles (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's), senior face-off specialist Skyler Clark (Clinton, Conn./The Gunnery), junior midfielder Brady O'Neill (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett), junior long-stick midfielder David Pitts (Burtonsville, Md./Georgetown Prep), junior midfielder Trey Ritter (Norfolk, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate School), and junior defenseman Kevin Wilson (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial). Sophomore defenseman Adam Mrowiec (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) qualified for the first time.
Hickey, O'Neill, and Wilson are all double majors in Economics and Business Management, while Clark is a double major in Biology and Chemistry and Hulsey a double major in Political Science and Economics. Mrowiec and Pitts are Biology majors, Boyles and Ritter are Business Management majors, and Barbieri is an Economics major.
