LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior attackman Tyler Powers (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week in men's lacrosse for the week of April 16-22.  This is the first time in his career that Powers has won the conference's weekly award.

The senior tallied 10 goals and handed out a pair of assists in two games this week for the Shoremen.  In the team's 14-8 win over Muhlenberg on Tuesday, he had a career-high seven goals and also scooped up two ground balls and had a caused turnover.  Powers scored seven of the team's first 10 goals, including the eventual game-winning goal with 12:57 left in the third quarter.  On Saturday at #10 Franklin & Marshall, he had three goals and two assists for five points, which were team-highs in all three categories.  Powers also had a ground ball and a caused turnover.

The Shoremen have won the conference's offensive player of the week award four times this season.  Junior attackman Casey Grieves won the award on February 19 and April 2, sophomore attackman Cooper Sloan captured the award on March 5 and Powers garnered the award today.
