CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Fresh off a thrilling 12-11 quarterfinal win at third-ranked Stevenson University, the fifth-ranked Washington College men's lacrosse team is now preparing for a NCAA Division III semifinal game at second-ranked Salisbury Sunday.
The Shoremen's win over Stevenson, the defending NCAA Division III National Champion, propelled them into the semifinal round for the first time since 2004. That 2004 team won a school-record 18 games before falling at Salisbury in the semifinals. This year's Shoremen, who have equalled that 18-win total, will get a chance to avenge both that 2004 semifinal loss and their only regular-season loss this year, a 12-7 regular-season defeat at Salisbury in March.
Opening face-off is set for 7:00 p.m. Admission prices are set at $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens, students with ID, and children 12 and under.
