Frankel Throws Six Shutout Innings in Win

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The host Washington College baseball team plated five runs in the second and four in the eighth to claim a 9-2 win over visiting Wesley College in a non-conference game this afternoon at Athey Park. The Shoremen ran their season record to 17-2 with the win.

How It Happened
- Ryan Colbert drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the second to put the Shoremen ahead, 1-0. A series of errors resulted in three more runs for the Shoremen and then a sacrifice bunt by CJ Gillmer plated their fifth of the frame.
- The Wolverines got a run back in the top of the seventh on an RBI groundout by John Joines. Later in the inning, Dustin Sutton scored on a wild pitch for Wesley to cut the lead to 5-2.
- Gillmer drove in the Shoremen's sixth run with a single in the bottom of the eighth. Later in the inning, TC Conrad drew a bases loaded walk and a throwing error during a fielder's choice resulted in two runs coming across instead of one as the Shoremen extended their lead to 9-2.
