LANCASTER, Pa. — Washington College senior Aaron Barclay (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the week ending March 10th. Barclay hit 1.000 (3-for-3) with a home run, six RBIs, four runs scored, two doubles, two walks, and two stolen bases in a doubleheader sweep over Western Connecticut Sunday.
In game one, Barclay went 2-for-2 with a home run, a sacrifice fly, four RBIs and two runs scored. In game two, he went 1-for-1 with two runs scored and two RBIs and also registered a walk and reached base via hit by pitch. In his one official at bat, he put Washington ahead for good in the top of the first inning with a two-run double and later came around to score as part of a four-run first inning. For the week, he post an .857% on-base percentage and 2.667% slugging percentage.
This is Barclay's second career Centennial Conference Player of the Week honor.
