Seven Shoremen Qualify for Centennial Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. — Seven Washington College baseball student-athletes have been officially named members of the 2018 Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for spring sports as released today by the conference office.

In order to qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

Senior infielder Joe Lozupone (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) and senior pitcher P.J. Mikulus (Plainview, N.Y./Chaminade) each qualified for the Academic Honor Roll for the third year in a row. Junior pitchers Billy Benson (Bel Air, Md./Patterson Mill) and Nick Roberti (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) landed on the honor roll for the second year in a row, while sophomore pitcher Matt Furlong (Howell, N.J./Howell), sophomore outfielder Joe Otto (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink), and sophomore catcher Ryan Zwier (Newark, Del./Christ School [N.C.]) all qualified for the first time.

Benson and Mikulus are double majors in Economics and Business Management, while Zwier is a double major in Computer Science and Math. Lozupone and Otto are both Business Management majors, Furlong is majoring in History, and Roberti is majoring in Political Science.
