Turgeon Steps Down as Head Baseball Coach

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Travis Turgeon has resigned after two seasons as head baseball coach at Washington College.

Turgeon went 30-45 over the past two seasons. He had previously served a total of two years as an assistant coach and as associate head coach under former head coach Al Streelman. As associate head coach in 2012, Turgeon helped lead the team to its first-ever appearance in the championship round of the Centennial Conference Tournament and a school-record 28 wins.

A national search for Turgeon's replacement will begin immediately.
