Connole & Baquer Earn All-Centennial Recognition

Connole Named To Second Team; Baquer Tabbed Honorable Mention

LANCASTER, PA – Senior outfielder Sean Connole (Mt. Airy, MD/St. John's Catholic) and freshman outfielder Bryan Baquer (Woodbridge, VA/Osbourn Park) have been named All-Centennial Conference team in a vote by the conference's head coaches. Connole was named to the second team, while Baquer earned honorable mention status.

Connole, named all-conference for the third consecutive time, batted a team-high .366 with a team-best31 RBI. He tied for tops on the team in triples (3), was second on the team in hits (52) and runs (33), tied for second in doubles (10), and third on the squad in stolen bases (13). He was tied for third in the conference in triples. Connole was previously a second-team pick in 2011 and a first-team honoree in 2012.

Baquer, a first time all-conference pick, set the Centennial Conference record for hits in a season by a freshman with a team-best 56. He also led the team in runs scored (37) and stolen bases (28). Baquer set the program record for at-bats in a season with 163. Baquer, who also tied Connole for the team lead in triples with three, had 22 RBI and eight doubles. In the conference, he was third in steals, tied for third in triples, sixth in at-bats, and seventh in hits.

The Shoremen (14-25) have had 15 all-conference selections since 2010.
