Remington to Play in Arizona Collegiate Wood Bat League

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Washington College outfielder Ian Remington (Guilford, CT/Guilford), who recently completed his freshman season with the Shoremen, will be heading west this summer to play in the Arizona Collegiate Wood Bat League. 

Remington finished second on the team in batting average with a .389 mark for the Shoremen. He had 37 hits, 20 runs, 13 RBI, eight doubles, and six stolen bases and made just one error in 58 chances. In March, Remington had an 11-game hitting streak, including a streak of nine consecutive games with multiple hits.

The Arizona Collegiate Wood Bat League season runs from June 14th to July 30th. Remington's team assignment in the 20-team league has not yet been announced.
