Both Swim Teams Awarded Scholar All-America Status, Men's Team Posts 8th-Highest GPA in Division III

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- The Washington College men's and women's swim teams posted team grade-point averages that ranked among the best in Division III during the fall 2014 semester as both squads have again been awarded Team Scholar All-America status by the College Swimming Coaches Association.

To qualify for the award, the team must finish with a team grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the fall semester. Both the Shoremen and Shorewomen easily cleared that mark as the Shoremen recorded a 3.42 team grade-point average, eighth-best among all Division III men's programs and best in the Centennial Conference, while the Shorewomen's 3.28 team grade-point average tied for 65th among all Division III women's programs.
