Bullets Best Shorewomen in Three
O'Brien Turns in 10th Straight Double-Double

GETTYSBURG, PA -- Host Gettysburg College pulled out two two-point wins in the opening pair of games and then closed out visiting Washington College in the third game of a 30-28, 31-29, 30-22, Centennial Conference volleyball victory this afternoon in Gettysburg, PA. The Bullets improved to 14-10 overall and 4-2 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 9-12 and 1-5.

Senior outside hitter Katherine O'Brien (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) turned in her 10th consecutive double-double for the Shorewomen in the loss, finishing with 13 kills and 13 digs. Junior libero Arielle Brown (Merion, PA/Lower Merion) added 17 digs, while freshman outside hitter Lauren Feeny (Upper Darby, PA/Villa Maria Academy) chipped in 10 kills. Sophomore setter Caitlin Ward (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity) had 33 assists and five digs for Washington.

The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home match against Johns Hopkins.
