5, 2007 LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College freshman outside hitter Lauren Feeny (Upper Darby, PA/Villa Maria Academy) was selected as the Centennial Conference Volleyball Player of the Week as announced on September 5 by the conference office. She won it in her first week of eligibilty for the award. In a 3-0 victory over Cabrini in her first collegiate match, she pounded 16 kills in just 25 attempts for a .480 hitting percentage. She averaged 5.33 kills per game in the sweep. Her 16 kills were a match-best. She also chipped in with five digs in the victory. She is the first freshman Washington College volleyball player to earn Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors. |
