O'Brien Paces Washington with Nine Kills

GETTYSBURG, PA -- Five-time defending Centennial Conference Champion Gettysburg College swept visiting Washington College, 30-24, 30-18, 30-16, in a Centennial volleyball match this afternoon in Gettysburg, PA. Gettysburg finished game one on a 7-3 run and closed out game three on a 12-2 run.

Freshman setter Caitlin Ward (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity) finished with 26 assists in the loss for the Shorewomen. Junior outside hitter Katherine O'Brien (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) had a team-best nine kills, while senior middle hitter Nanna Kozemchak (Falls Church, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) recorded a team-high nine digs.

The Shorewomen (3-16, 0-5 Centennial) return to action Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home match against Bryn Mawr.
